I am happy to welcome you to the 82nd
Annual ICS Meeting and Exhibition on February 13-14, 2017 at the David Intercontinental Hotel, Tel Aviv. The event, which is organized by the Bar-Ilan University Department of Chemistry, will cover all fields of chemistry, including basic and applied sciences, and chemistry education. Together with the 6th Angewandte Symposium, which will take place on February 15 at the adjacent Dan Panorama hotel, we’ll celebrate 3 continuous days of superb chemistry. Please make sure you don’t miss these unique events.
Continuing the ICS tradition of hosting scientific delegations from top universities worldwide, this year we collaborate with the German Chemical Society, welcoming a delegation of outstanding scientists from the Ludwig-Maximilians University, Munich, who will present plenary and keynote lectures.
In addition to a dense scientific program the 82nd
ICS Meeting will include two new features: a session titled “The Chemistry of Everyday”
, which will include lectures on popular topics and a special panel of Israeli Nobel Prize Laureates
who will address the question “How can we raise the next generation of Nobel Laureates in Chemistry?”
You’ll be happy to know that we managed to reduce the registration fees by 7% for a regular participant and 15% for a student. Furthermore, for the first time in the history of the ICS Meetings, participating students may apply for a registration subsidy
at the level of 500 NIS.
Finally, please note that this year, all abstracts will be personalized
and will include a photograph of the presenter on the conference website.
I look forward to welcoming you to the celebration of chemistry in February,
|Prof. Bilha Fischer
